Eventos em junho de 2022
No próximo mês de Junho o projecto TRACTION, nome que recebe a presente edição do ÓPERA NA PRISÃO, vai ter o seu ponto alto de programação para a comunidade. Depois de quase 3 anos de co-criação, uma nova ópera vai ter a sua estreia, para a qual colaboraram todos os parceiros deste projecto. Chama-se O TEMPO (somos nós) , e teve como ponto de partida para o processo criativo o trabalho dos jovens reclusos sobre duas palavras: porta e viagem.
Numa parceria com a Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, o projecto vai poder contar com a presença da sua Orquestra nas duas récitas que terão lugar dentro do Estabelecimento Prisional de Leiria, bem como nas apresentações da nova ópera no Grande Auditório da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, em Lisboa.
Porque o TRACTION também é um projecto de investigação em torno da co-criação em ópera e tecnologia, Portugal acolhe em Lisboa um congresso no dia 6 de Junho. Sob o tema “Building Capabilities: Rethinking the Social Value of Culture”, teremos a oportunidade de ouvir alguns dos maiores especialistas nacionais e internacionais neste domínio do valor social da cultura.
O projeto SAMP “Ópera na Prisão – Traction” é financiado pelo programa de investigação e inovação Horizonte 2020 da União Europeia e conta com os parceiros Estabelecimento Prisional de Leiria – Jovens – DGRSP Ministério da Justiça, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Câmara Municipal de Leiria e União das Freguesias de Leiria, Pousos, Barreira e Cortes.

TRIAL in LEIRIA
Events in June 2022
Over the course of the month of June, the project TRACTION will be featuring the current edition of ÓPERA NA PRISÃO, as it proceeds to reach the highlight of its community cultural programming. After nearly three years of co-creation in collaboration with all of the project’s partners, a new opera will have its premier. The opera show called O TEMPO (somos nós), began amidst a creative process with young inmates’ while reflecting upon two words: door and travel.
The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is one of the partners on this project, whose collaboration extends to the participation of the Gulbenkian Orchestra in the artistic output of this Opera. They will be performing with the young inmates throughout all the scheduled events, which include two recitals taking place in Leiria’s Prison Facility, as well as two presentations of the new opera in Gulbekian’s Grand Auditorium in Lisbon.
TRACTION is also research project that focuses on the development and implementation of co-creation processes that connect opera and technology. Hence, this year, Portugal will be holding an international congress in Lisbon under the theme of “Building Capabilities: Rethinking the Social Value of Culture”. For a single event scheduled on the 6th of June, this congress will gather together some of the most acclaimed national and international specialists in the field to debate the social value of culture.
SAMP’s project “Ópera na Prisão – Traction” is financed by European Union’s Horizon 2020 investigation and innovation program and has Leiria’s Prison Facility – Young Inmates – DGRSP Ministry of Justice, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Leiria’s City Council and the Union of Parishes of Leiria, Pousos Barreira and Cortes as partners.
